Ossuary

A recent poll taken by the Cremation Society of North America, stated over 48 percent would accept cremation over burial and 80% stated that they desire some kind of memorial. A columbarium answers this call. It is a respectful, simple way to show honor to our deceased loved ones. Since our church often is the first public place we visit after our birth, it is fitting that our church serves us full circle by being our final resting place. With these thoughts in mind, the patented Everest Columbarium System was created.

Our system is designed to satisfy the following objectives:

St. Faith Episcopal Church, FL
Added a columbarium to an outside wall near the entrance to the church.

The system is easy and economical for the church to install and maintain.

Our Everest System weighs little and generally needs a simple foundation. Often, churches have a wall constructed leaving a recess with the exact measurements we furnish on our shop drawings. We send drawings which show the assembly and installation. Installing is very simple; only basic skills are needed for the procedure. If you use church members or church custodial keepers you may be able to reduce installation cost.

The Everest System is built to last.

Everest uses granite, stone, bronze and solid surface acrylic for our exteriors and all of our materials age beautifully. The Everest System has no electrolysis from dissimilar metals touching. The niches are made with a General Electric geloy resin. This resin, designed for use in the US space industry, accepts both extreme heat and extreme cold without weakening.

Niches must be easy to open at time of committal.

Each niche has an individual faceplate (the urn is stored behind the faceplate). Only one niche need be open at time of a committal. (Four tamper resistant screws are backed out to remove the individual faceplate.)

The system offers beauty and demands respect.

You have many faceplates to choose from to coordinate with the church campus. Some of the faceplates are very plain; others offer liturgical reference and we can render custom bronze faceplates if the church desires.

Our Everest System Niches, once sold to a church member, satisfies all of his or her funeral pre-need arrangements.

At time of demise, additional expenses are minimal, the urn is removed from the columbarium niche and sent with the body to the crematory. The crematory returns the full urn to either the family or to the church. The Memorial Service and committal arrangements are made with the church. The nameplate is sent to the engraver (usually by the church). The family is free to mourn their deceased loved one.
